New Citroen C4 Cactus prices announced as order books open

Date: 03 January 2018   |   Author: Sean Keywood

Citroen has revealed prices for its new C4 Cactus hatchback.

The new range, which is available to order now, with deliveries expected in April, starts from £17,265.

There are two core trim levels to choose from - Feel and Flair - plus, for a limited time, a Feel Edition model with an 81hp petrol engine.

Regular engines are petrols with 108hp or 128hp, and a 99hp diesel.

There are five and six-speed manual gearboxes, or a six-speed automatic.

Citroen is promising drivers a better ride, thanks to its new Progressive Hydraulic Cushion suspension system, standard with Feel and Flair trims, which adds hydraulic stops to the spring and damper system.

Also fitted to these models are Citroen's Advanced Comfort seats, featuring adjustable lumbar support for the driver and extra padding.

There are a number of driver assistance systems on offer, including Active Safety Brake, which can apply the brakes when an on-board camera detects obstacles, Grip Control - which allows the car to adapt to different surfaces, and a lane departure warning system.

Also available is a speed limit recognition system, a 'coffee break alert' system which prompts the driver to take a break when they have driven for two hours above 43mph, a driver alert system, blind spot monitoring, a reversing camera, hill start assistance, front foglights which illuminate left or right depending on the angle of the steering wheel, and keyless entry.

Key functions are operated via a seven-inch touchscreen.

There are also three connectivity technologies: Citroen Connect Nav, Citroen Connect Box with the brand's emergency and assistance system, and Mirror Screen functionality with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and MirrorLink.

Prices run from £17,265 for the Feel Edition, available until May, to £21,165 for the Flair trim with the automatic gearbox.

The regular entry-level model will be the 108hp Feel from £17,965.
