New Seat Ibiza priced from £13,130

Date: 05 May 2017   |   Author: Daniel Puddicombe

Seat has confirmed its forthcoming Ibiza supermini will cost from £13,130 when it arrives in showrooms at the end of July.

The five-door-only model has already been driven by BusinessCar, scoring 8/10 thanks to its stylish design, large boot and copious amounts of standard equipment.

Initially, the model will launch in the UK with four petrol engines - a 1.0-litre three cylinder with three power bands, 75hp, 95hp and 115hp and a more powerful 150hp 1.5-litre unit.

Diesel engines are expected to be added to the range by the end of the year, the Spanish brand said.

Five trim levels are offered, with standard kit including air-con, electric front windows, automatic headlights and Bluetooth.

SE grade, meanwhile, adds front fog lights, rain-sensing windscreen wipers, cruise control and the brand's media system.

The middle trim - SE Technology, expected to be the top pick for UK buyers - adds sat-nav, voice control, DAB radio and two USB ports.

FR - the firm's sports-inspired trim - adds twin exhausts, sports seats, chrome detailing and smartphone integration.

The range-topping Xcellence trim, meanwhile, adds alcantara upholstery, climate control, keyless entry and exit, and front and rear parking sensors.

"The Ibiza is an iconic model for Seat, a best-seller that's been at the heart of our line-up for more than 30 years," said Richard Harrison, director at Seat UK. "The new Leon range and the Ateca, our first SUV, have set the scene perfectly, generating huge customer response and helping raise UK sales to record heights already this year. The all-new Ibiza will complete a powerful trio at the heart of our brand and we cannot wait to introduce it to British buyers."
