Renault introduces new top-spec into Koleos range

Date: 03 January 2018   |   Author: Sean Keywood

Renault is hoping a dash of luxury will woo buyers for its Koleos SUV, with the launch of a new range-topping trim level.

The new Initiale Paris is priced at £36,700, and available to order now, with deliveries starting in the spring.

The new trim level is available with a 177hp diesel engine, and a four-wheel drive system via a seven-speed automatic gearbox.

This produces CO2 emissions of 156g/km, and fuel economy of 47.9mpg on a combined cycle.

Standard equipment on the Initiale Paris includes two-tone Nappa leather upholstery, hands-free parking, 19-inch two-tone alloy wheels, and a 13-speaker Bose sound system.

The car also gets full LED headlights, heated and ventilated front seats, heated and cooling cupholders, and a powered automatic tailgate which allows drivers to open and close the boot by waving a foot under the rear bumper.

There's also automatic dual-zone climate control, hands-free keycard entry, automatic lights and wipers, One-Touch easy folding rear seats which can be folded by pressing a button in the boot, and an opening panoramic sunroof.

An 8.7-inch portrait touchscreen runs Renault's R-LINK2 infotainment system, including sat-nav with TomTom traffic updates, and Android Auto and Apple CarPlay also come as standard.

The Initiale Paris also comes with driver assistance systems which are available across the Koleos range, including advanced emergency braking, a blind spot warning system, a lane departure warning system, traffic sign recognition, hill start assist, and a rear parking camera with front and rear parking sensors.

Other standard safety features include ABS with electronic brake-force distribution, electronic stability control with traction and understeer control, six airbags, seat belts with load limiters and pretensioners at the front, side impact protection bars and ISOFIX child-seat mounting points on the two outer rear seats. Cruise control is also standard.
