Sam Hothi to oversee rental operations for Seat

Date: 22 June 2017   |   Author: Daniel Puddicombe

Seat has appointed Sam Hothi to the newly-created role of rental and motability manager.

He moves to the position from his current post of area sales manager and will be responsible for leading sales to new and existing clients.

As well as overseeing the rental division, Hothi will manage the extended four-day test drive scheme's fleet of vehicles and report to the head of fleet and business sales, Peter McDonald.

"This is a genuinely exciting time to be part of the Seat brand," Hathi said. "Its products are hitting the mark, and we are receiving strong feedback from existing customers as well as feverish interest in new models."

He added: "I am looking forward to implementing our rental and motability strategy, while improving service levels even further - we are constantly striving to refine our service."

This is the second change in Seat's fleet team this month. Earlier in June, Justin Costello was promoted to the role of national fleet sales manager.

Costello - previously contract hire and leasing manager for the brand - is responsible for driving true fleet sales for the company as it expands its vehicle range.

He leads a team of seven area fleet managers and also reports to McDonald.

According to Seat, its sales to fleet customers grew for the fourth year in a row in 2016, with further expansion expected as new models arrive in the UK.
