Two senior appointments at Drivetech

Date: 09 June 2017   |   Author: Daniel Puddicombe

Fleet risk, safety management and driver training company Drivetech has appointed two new directors to its senior leadership team in order to grow the business.

Des Morrison joins the AA-owned business as head of police contracts while Nigel Pratten becomes head of product solutions and training.

Morrison joins from driving courses provider TTC Group, where he was operations director and later managing director.

He will be responsible for leading Drivetech's move into the driver offender training market and will also manage partnerships with the police.

Pratten, a freelance environmental and management consultant for six years, will manage the company's driver trainers, having worked with the brand for a number of years on an ad-hoc basis.

He will also be responsible for developing future products and the firm's product roadmap.

"It is a real pleasure to welcome Des to our team," said David Wilson, managing director of Drivetech. "He knows the driver education sector extremely well and can deliver insight and knowledge from day one. I'm really confident that he will help us shape meaningful partnerships with our police force colleagues to the benefit of both parties."

Wilson added: "Likewise, I'm personally delighted that Nigel is now formally part of the leadership team. He has been instrumental over several years in helping to build our UK and international operations into the force they are today, delivering driver training in over 90 countries.

"His lifetime of experience and knowledge in many sectors will be a valued asset to us as we continue to build a portfolio of innovative, market-leading products and services that meet and exceed our customers' expectations."
