Alphabet reports successful year

Date: 01 March 2018   |   Author: Sean Keywood

Leasing giant Alphabet International has reported a year of growth in 2017.

The company says its operational lease portfolio grew by 5.5%, to 680,000 cars and LCVs.

Alphabet also saw an increase in order volume, which grew by 4% to more than 240,000, and its customer base, which grew by 10% to more than 86,000.

The company also recorded a 51% increase in the number of pure electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles in its fleet, with this number growing by 11,000, giving Alphabet a 5.2% market share of registrations of those vehicles in the relevant countries.

The company says this makes it the market leader in the sector and that it can offer a range of tailor-made options for clients interested in these vehicles through its AlphaElectric programme.

Alphabet CEO Norbert van den Eijnden said: "Companies today face more and more changes and challenges when it comes to travelling from A to B.

"As our clients' long-term business mobility partner, we look forward to navigating familiar and new territory with them, so they always come out ahead."

For 2018, Alphabet says its main aims are maintaining a commitment to innovation and serving clients with specific solutions for their individual needs.
