BCA appoints new remarketing chief

Date: 19 April 2018   |   Author: Sean Keywood

BCA has named Stuart Pearson as the new chief operating officer of its UK remarketing division.

Pearson takes over from Simon Henstock, who is retiring this month after 40 years with the firm.

Pearson has been with BCA for nearly 25 years, starting as a management trainee at BCA Derby. He moved to manage BCA Preston in 2000, then to manage the BCA auction supercentre in Bedford on its opening in 2005.

In 2015 he became BCA's operations director of UK remarketing, before becoming managing director for UK remarketing the following year.

BCA executive chairman Avril Palmer-Baunack said: "We are delighted to appoint Stuart Pearson to this significant role.

"Stuart's experience and passion for the industry will be critical as we continue to drive our business forward and meet the increasing demands of a fast-moving marketplace.

"We wish Stuart great success in this next step in his career at BCA."

Henstock held a number of senior operational and sales roles during his career with BCA and served as chief operating officer of UK remarketing since 2015.

His time in the role coincided with a period of rapid expansion that included the integration of former SMA sites and the opening of a new facility at Parry Barr, Birmingham.

Palmer-Baunack said: "We wish Simon Henstock the very best as he enjoys his well-earned retirement following a long and distinguished career with BCA."
