The start point for the best source of fleet information

Blue light Skoda Karoq unveiled

Date: 03 July 2018   |   Author: Sean Keywood

Skoda has launched a blue light version of its Karoq SUV.

The new conversion includes fire and rescue, ambulance and police applications.

Upgrades compared with the regular Karoq include 360 degree visibility - with LED signal lights built into the front screen, grille, tailgate and number plate - and a 100-amp, three-tone siren.

The Karoq has a wheelbase of 2,638mm and 521 litres of boot space, rising to 1,810 with the rear seats removed.

This load space can be specially converted to suit operational requirements.

Driver assistance systems include adaptive cruise control, blind spot detection, and front assist with autonomous emergency braking and pedestrian monitor.

There are four engine options - two petrols with 115 and 150hp, and two diesels with the same power outputs.

All four are available with a seven-speed automatic transmission as an option and four-wheel drive is available with the most powerful diesel.

Skoda has introduced a 'one-stop shop' package for emergency services fleets, which allows vehicles to be purchased directly or financed through Volkswagen Financial Services.

Fleet managers now have the option of contract hire or a leasing package.

Skoda can provide the vehicles fully converted to suit specific requirements, and fleet managers benefit from conversion, breakdown recovery, service, maintenance and repair requirements being built into one package.
