Citroen applies SpaceTourer name to MPVs

Date: 01 May 2018   |   Author: Sean Keywood

Citroen has announced a rebranding of its MPV range, with the former C4 Picasso and Grand C4 Picasso now known as the C4 SpaceTourer and Grand C4 SpaceTourer.

As well as a new name, the two models also gain a new 160hp diesel engine, paired with a new eight-speed automatic gearbox, with the latter subsequently becoming available with other engines later in the year.

Citroen says the new gearbox offers reduced fuel consumption of up to 7% compared with the existing six-speed unit, thanks to the two additional gears, along with the extension of the stop-start function to operate at up to 12mph.

The C4 SpaceTourer, which comes with five seats, and Grand C4 SpaceTourer, which comes with seven seats, also get a new Safety Pack, including driver attention alert, speed sign recognition and recommendation, and active safety braking, now standard with Flair trim.

Prices for the C4 SpaceTourer start from £21,125 and for the Grand C4 SpaceTourer from £23,425.

They are available now, with the new engine and gearbox option available from June.

Prices for the latter will start from £27,550 for the C4 SpaceTourer, and £29,250 for the Grand C4 SpaceTourer.
