Fleet-focused Mini Clubman City revealed

Date: 01 August 2018   |   Author: Sean Keywood

A new trim level has been announced for the Mini Clubman, with which the brand is looking to target fleet sales.

The Clubman City is available to order now, with a choice of two engines: a 1.5-litre, 102hp petrol and a 1.5-litre, 116hp diesel.

The petrol is available with manual or automatic transmission, and the diesel is available only as an auto.

Official combined fuel economy and CO2 emissions are 48.7mpg and 131g/km for the petrol manual, 49.6mpg and 130g/km for the petrol auto, and 68.9mpg and 109g/km for the diesel.

Mini says the standard equipment list has been tailored to appeal to corporate customers.

It includes sat-nav with live traffic information, Apple CarPlay, DAB, air conditioning, cruise control and rear park distance control. Fuel-saving technology includes automatic stop/start function, brake energy regeneration and shift point display.

Prices start at £19,995 for the petrol manual, rising to £21,555 for the petrol auto and £23,855 for the diesel.

Mini is keen to talk up its fleet offering. With dedicated corporate sales managers across its dealer network ready to assist and support large fleets, and a corporate aftersales charter offering business customers a service option through the life of their vehicles, they are strongly signalling their intent in targeting that market.

Mini UK's head of corporate sales Steve Roberts said: "We're well aware that many fleet operate strict CO2 limits but also need to offer drivers vehicles that are versatile and suitable for everyday life; be that commuting, travelling with the family or using the vehicle for leisure purposes.

"Mini Clubman, one of the brand's most versatile vehicles, offers all of these benefits alongside a great standard specification for the corporate market.

"We're delighted that our petrol model will be available from £19,995 and our low CO2 diesel model will be available with just 109g/km - all WLTP compliant and available for immediate ordering."
