Renault has revealed full UK prices and specifications for its updated Zoe electric car.

The main change to the range is the availability of a new, more powerful electric motor that produces 107hp, but is still capable of a 186-mile range.

With the new motor, the Zoe can reach an 80% charge via a 43kW charge point in one hour 40 minutes, or charge fully via a 7kW home socket in seven hours 25 minutes.

The Zoe is also still available with the previous 88hp motor, which despite being less powerful offers quicker charging from a 43kW charge point, with an 80% charge taking one hour five minutes.

The updated Zoe also gains Renault's Android Auto-enabled R-Link Evolution infotainment system, allowing drivers to display driving-compatible Android applications stored on their smartphone on the car's multimedia screen.

Also available as an option is Aconite metallic purple exterior paint and the Purple Interior Pack, which adds violet detailing to the cabin.

There are two trim levels available - Dynamique Nav trim comes with standard equipment including a hands-free keycard, automatic lights and wipers, rear parking sensors, cruise control, climate control, 7in screen with TomTom sat nav, electric windows and LED daytime running lights.

Signature Nav trim adds extra features including leather upholstery, a Bose audio system, heated front seats, electrically folding door mirrors and a rear parking camera.

Including the £4,500 government plug-in car grant, prices for the cheapest model in the range, a Dynamique Nav with the 107hp motor, start from £18,240, with additional battery leasing at £59 a month.

Other starting prices are £19,170 for a Dynamique Nav with the 88hp motor, £20,670 for a Signature Nav with the 107hp motor, and £21,420 for a Signature Nav with the 88hp motor.

The car is also available to buy with the battery outright, for which all prices increase by £5,600.

Order books are open now, with the first deliveries expected in late summer.
