Jaguar Land Rover begins using Ebbon-Dacs products

Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has started using two products from Ebbon-Dacs in its UK operations.

JLR is employing Ebbon-Dacs' e-procurement platform, Leaselink, to handle direct sales to public sector fleet customers, and its moDel vehicle movement management solution to automate and manage the associated new vehicle movements.

The direct sales department handles vehicle sales to police, fire and ambulance fleets, NHS Trusts and UK Government departments, including the Ministry of Defence, and is an approved supplier under the terms of the Crown Commercial Services framework agreement.

JLR's national public sector manager Claire Watson-Brown (pictured) championed a 16-month project to implement Leaselink that went live on 1 May.

She said: "This has been a transformational project for us and one we are very proud of.

"I am confident the leasing companies on and off the framework will recognise and welcome the benefits of our switch to Leaselink.

"The improvements that are possible when all parties share a common platform mean that we are putting our customers' needs first, which is at the core of everything we do."

Watson-Brown said the implementation of Leaselink was already bringing a number of benefits, including: greatly improved transparency; the ability to track orders anywhere in the supply pipeline; the removal of manual purchase orders with a fully streamlined and automated ordering process; and a full alignment of all ordering processes between leasing company and manufacturer.

She added that moDel had provided advantages including increased accuracy of delivery times and improved documentation speed, which allowed JLR to speed up the payments process as well as greatly improve transparency.

Ebbon-Dacs head of commercial Justine Hawkins said: "We are delighted that JLR has selected both our Leaselink and moDel solutions to handle all direct sales to public sector fleet customers.

"JLR has identified some significant benefits in using our market-leading solutions, which will support key business objectives now and in the future."
