Date: 04 June 2018   |   Author: Sean Keywood

A seven-seat version of Lexus's RX 450h SUV has gone on sale in the UK.

The RX 450hL, Lexus's first seven-seat model in the UK, is powered by the same hybrid powertrain as the five-seater car, with a 3.5-litre V6 petrol engine combining with an electric motor to produce 313hp.

It is equipped with a part-time four-wheel drive system.

Official combined fuel economy is 47.9mpg, with CO2 emissions of 136g/km.

The RX 450hL is available in three trim levels - SE, Luxury and Premier.

Prices start from £50,995 for SE trim, rising to £54,095 for Luxury trim and £61,995 for Premier trim.

All trims come with a power folding system for the third row of seats and triple-zone climate control as standard.

Other standard equipment with SE trim includes sat-nav, a reversing camera, LED headlights with automatic high beam, and Lexus's Safety System+, which includes collision warning, autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist and traffic sign recognition.

Luxury trim adds equipment including intelligent parking assist, a 12.3in multimedia display and rain-sensing wipers, while extra kit on Premium cars includes a colour head-up display, adaptive variable suspension and a 360-degree around view monitor.

All models can be specified with a Protection Pack, which includes rubber floor mats, a bumper protection plate, a boot liner and mud flaps.

Premier trim cars can be fitted with a Style Pack, which adds a front skirt, rear bumper protection plate, chrome side sills and alloy wheels with black inserts.

A sunroof - standard with Premium trim - is available as an option with Luxury cars.
