Mitsubishi names new UK managing director

Date: 26 February 2018   |   Author: Sean Keywood

Mitsubishi has announced the appointment of Rob Lindley as its new UK managing director.

Lindley, who will take on the role from 16 April, began his automotive career with Ford in 1989, before becoming UK managing director for Mazda, and then sales and marketing director for McLaren.

Most recently he was vice-president and managing director for Harley-Davidson in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Lindley, a graduate of the University of Nottingham and the Stanford University Graduate School of Business, succeeds Lance Bradley, who is standing down after nine years in the role and 18 years with the company to become vice-chairman.

Lindley said: "I am delighted to be joining Mitsubishi in the UK at such an exciting time, both in terms of important new model launches and as the business merges into, and benefits from, the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance.

"Since importing its first vehicles in 1974, Mitsubishi has grown to be a highly respected brand in the UK and there is tremendous potential to take it to even greater heights.

"I am very much looking forward to working to further develop the company and joining its established and very passionate team."

Bradley said: "Rob is the perfect person to continue the growth of Mitsubishi and under his leadership it will be in very safe hands.

"He has an excellent record for results and he is someone I have known and respected in the industry for many years.

"I am very pleased to welcome him to Mitsubishi and look forward to working with him and seeing how the brand evolves under his expert guidance."
