The start point for the best source of fleet information

More cars now available with Alphabet car sharing system

Business mobility and leasing firm Alphabet has announced that its AlphaCity sharing platform is now available with a greatly increased range of cars.

Previously, AlphaCity was only available with BMW and Mini models, but now corporate, SME and public sector fleets in the UK can choose keyless access, shared use vehicles in every segment across a wide range of manufacturers.

As a result, Alphabet says its customers now have an even greater selection of electric and hybrid vehicles to choose from when considering shared usage vehicles.

LCVs are also now available for the first time.

Head of marketing and business development Carsten Kwirandt said: "We continue to offer our customers the best-fit business mobility solution for their company.

"Improving our highly-successful product AlphaCity by expanding the choice of vehicles which are able to be shared within a fleet is our latest way of doing so."

Alphabet has also redesigned the AlphaCity reservation platform, as well as integrating it into its AlphaGuide app.

The enhanced AlphaGuide app is available from today in app stores and will be updated automatically for existing users.

In addition to existing app functions such as access to contract data, electric charging locations and managing service requests, Alphabet says the new AlphaGuide will improve the user experience through a new look and feel, making it easier to use and more intuitive.

Users can access the CarSharing section of AlphaGuide by selecting AlphaCity from the menu. They can then book an AlphaCity vehicle for business purposes (according to their company rules) and view all upcoming reservations in detail, including vehicle details, pick-up location, and the date and time of booking.

Users also have the ability to access or cancel their existing AlphaCity reservations via the app.
