Renault Zoes join Scottish Natural Heritage fleet

Date: 14 May 2018   |   Author: Sean Keywood

Five Renault Zoe electric vehicles (EVs) have been added to the pool car fleet of Scottish Natural Heritage (SNH).

The Zoes are the first step towards SNH's goal of having a totally electric fleet by 2026, and will be used in pool car fleets in Edinburgh, Inverness, Perth and Golspie.

Supporting the roll-out of the vehicles, Renault zero emissions (ZE) expert Matt Kiziuk visited SNH to present advice on how best to use the vehicles.

Renault UK managing director Vincent Tourette said: "Being able to support SNH with the roll-out of its electric vehicle pool cars is something we are very proud of.

"We listened to our fleet customers and introduced fleet ZE experts in order to support fleets in understanding the benefits and opportunities Renault ZE models can offer. It's great to see that this initiative is proving to be successful."

SNH fleet manager Sigmund Craig-Gould said: "Climate change is a global concern, and we are trying to do our part to tackle its effects by reducing our carbon emissions.

"These zero-emission electric vehicles will help us achieve our goals, and meet the Scottish Government's target of phasing out petrol and diesel cars and vans by 2032."
