Skoda Karoq Sportline and Scout revealed

Date: 03 August 2018   |   Author: Sean Keywood

Skoda has announced two new trim options for its Karoq SUV, which follow two different design philosophies.

The Karoq Sportline takes a performance-focused approach, while the Karoq Scout offers a more rugged option geared more towards all-terrain driving.

Exterior tweaks for the Sportline include sports bumpers, 19in black polished alloy wheels and black roof rails, while the Scout gets chrome and silver bodywork elements, distinctive wheel arch linings and anthracite 19in alloys.

Inside, the Sportline gets black sports seats with contrast silver stitching, a leather sports steering wheel, a black headliner and black roof pillars. Meanwhile the Scout gets newly-designed seat covers with black-brown contrasting seams and a leather steering wheel.

Both get pedals with stainless steel elements and an LED package including ambient lighting.

Under the bonnet, the Sportline comes with a choice of four engines - a 2.0-litre, 190hp petrol new to the Karoq range, along with a 1.5-litre 150hp petrol and 2.0-litre diesels with 190hp or 150hp.

Engine options for the Scout are the same, minus the 190hp petrol.

All Scouts will come with four-wheel drive, but for the Sportline this is only standard for the 190hp engines and optional with the 150hp engines.

The new Karoqs will make their debut at the Paris Motor Show in October.

Prices are yet to be revealed.
