Date: 31 January 2018   |   Author: Sean Keywood

Skoda is aiming to woo fleet buyers with a trim option on its new Karoq compact SUV specifically designed for business customers.

The SE Technology includes added features above SE trim at no extra cost.

The car comes with sat-nav via an 8in touchscreen with European mapping, voice control and integrated Wi-Fi.

There's also Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, gesture control, wireless charging and a smartphone signal boost system.

The car is offered with a one-year subscription to Infotainment Online that provides live traffic reports, calendar updates and online search functions.

Also standard on the SE Technology are front and rear parking sensors, panoramic sunroof, LED daytime running lights and adaptive cruise control.

Engine options are shared with the rest of the Karoq range, meaning a choice of two petrol engines - a 1.0-litre producing 113hp and a 1.5-litre producing 148hp - and two diesels - a 1.6-litre with 113hp and a 2.0-litre with 148hp.

All four are available with seven-speed DSG transmission, and the 2.0-litre diesel is available with four-wheel drive.

CO2 emissions start at 117g/km for the 1.6-litre diesel with DSG, while the P11D cost starts at £20,660 for the manual 1.0-litre petrol.

Skoda's UK head of fleet Henry Williams said: "The Karoq is a much-anticipated addition to our all-new SUV family that began last year with the seven-seat Kodiaq.

"It's a highly versatile SUV that is packed full of tech and safety features that, combined with the competitive whole life costs, is going to be an attractive option to both fleet managers and drivers."
