Specs and prices revealed for revised Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe and Cabriolet

Date: 29 May 2018   |   Author: Sean Keywood

Mercedes-Benz has revealed full UK specs and prices for its facelifted C-Class Coupe and Cabriolet.

The updated models follow the facelift of the C-Class saloon and estate, details of which were announced earlier this month.

Only one trim option is available - AMG Line - and prices start from £37,620 for the Coupe and £41,439 for the Cabriolet.

Order books are open now, with the first deliveries in July.

Both the Coupe and Cabriolet share engine options with the saloon and estate - 1.5-litre and 3.0-litre petrols and a 2.0-litre diesel - but the Coupe is also available with a 2.0-litre petrol engine, which will be made available in the Cabriolet later this year.

The 1.5-litre petrol engine, which produces 184hp and comes with mild hybrid technology, is capable in the Coupe of achieving 46.3mpg on an official combined cycle and CO2 emissions of 140g/km, with the figures for the Cabriolet worsening slightly to 44.1mpg and 145g/km.

The 2.0-litre petrol produces 254hp, and in the Coupe achieves respective figures of 44.1mpg and 147g/km.

The 3.0-litre petrol - fitted to the AMG C 43 performance model - puts out 390hp, with figures of 29.7mpg and 217g/km in the Coupe, and 29.1mpg and 223g/km in the Cabriolet.

The diesel produces 194hp, with figures of 61.4mpg and 121g/km in the Coupe, and 58.9mpg and 126g/km in the Cabriolet.

All models come with nine-speed automatic transmission.

Standard equipment includes a 10.25in media display, 18in alloy wheels, keyless start, LED headlights, sports suspension and DAB radio, with the Cabriolet also adding Airscarf and Aircap systems to make driving with the roof down more comfortable.

Optional kit packages include the Premium package, which adds a 12.3in cockpit display, ambient lighting, Comand Online infotainment system, Midline sound system, LED intelligent light system and wireless charging.

Premium Plus adds a 360-degree camera, Burmester sound system, keyless entry and, with the Coupe, a panoramic sunroof.

The Driving Assistance package adds blind spot assist, lane keep assist, cross-traffic assist, adaptive cruise control with steering assist and stop and go function, collision warning, and autonomous emergency braking with pedestrian detection.

The Dynamic Handling package adds air suspension, except on the AMG C 43, which already has this as standard.
