Sporty Hyundai i30 N Line revealed

Date: 20 July 2018   |   Author: Sean Keywood

Hyundai has announced a new sport-inspired trim option for its i30 family hatch.

The i30 N Line pairs visual and mechanical performance upgrades with a more modest engine than the fully-fledged i30 N hot hatch, introduced last year,

Visual tweaks with N Line trim include revised front and rear bumpers, 18in alloy wheels, a rear twin muffler and N Line badging. Interior changes include a leather sport steering wheel and a sports gear knob, with N-branded suede sport seats also available.

Mechanically, PS4 Michelin Performance tyres are fitted, and front brake discs are upgraded from 15in to 16in; Hyundai say the car's suspension and engine response have also been altered to furnish the model with sportier driving dynamics.

There are two engine options, both carried over from the existing i30 range: the 1.4-litre, 140hp petrol and the 1.6-litre, 136hp diesel.

Hyundai says the i30 N Line will be made available across Europe this summer.

UK prices and economy and emissions data are yet to be announced.
