The start point for the best source of fleet information

Upgrades to Jaama's Key2 system include tyre management aid

Date: 13 April 2018   |   Author: Sean Keywood

Software provider Jaama has added new features to its Key2 fleet management system.

Among the changes, a new Tyre Data Import module allows systemised validation of incoming tyre costs against pre-agreed costs to ensure correct charging for tyres.

Also, the previous Vehicle Event Manager area of the system has been overhauled and renamed Compliance Manager.

Key2 has also gained the function to import details of vehicles that are subject to manufacturer recalls, along with the related rectification work.

Jaama managing director Martin Evans said the new Tyre Data Import module was a response to a trend for tyres to account for an increasing proportion of fleet management costs.

"It is apparent that our customers want as much information on tyres as possible to aid decision-making and cost control," he said.

"The introduction of the new Tyre Data Import module delivers on that front."

Features of Compliance Manager include historical events such as services and MOTs being stored, allowing managers to see if they have been completed on time, along with the automatic creation of due dates for subsequent events.

There's also the ability to remove an event and record a reason why this has been done, for instance if a vehicle is registered as SORN.

Evans said: "Jaama is renowned for the continued evolution of Key2. Fleet management software technology is fast-moving and the compliance and operational requirements of customers change over time and are driven by legislation.

"Feedback from our rapidly growing customer base is encouraged because those at the sharp-end of fleet management are able to provide critical insight which is vital for Jaama to deliver enhancements to Key2 that will bring real benefits to fleets.

"The improvements introduced to Compliance Manager are among the latest examples of where we have worked with our customers to benefit the product."
