VW makes R-Line trim available for T-Roc and Tiguan Allspace

Date: 05 April 2018   |   Author: Sean Keywood

Volkswagen has added sport-inspired R-Line trim options to its compact T-Roc and seven-seat Tiguan Allspace SUV ranges.

Features gained by the T-Roc R-Line include 19in alloy wheels, sports suspension, a body-coloured roof spoiler and a styling pack including tweaked front and rear bumpers, black wheel arch extensions, body-coloured side skirts and R-Line badging.

Inside, the T-Roc R-Line gets a black roof lining, dark grey decorative inserts in dash and door panels, front footwell illumination, front LED reading lights, Carbon Flag upholstery, chrome R-Line door sill inserts, aluminium pedals, R-Line carpet mats front and rear and a flat-bottomed R-Line leather multi-function steering wheel.

The Tiguan Allspace R-Line gets a similar roof spoiler and exterior styling pack, 20in alloy wheels, and sports suspension which can be further enhanced with optional Dynamic Chassis Control, allowing the driver to choose between Normal, Sport and Comfort settings.

There's also a similar range of interior tweaks as seen on the T-Roc.

Both cars are available in R-Line form with a range of engines - the T-Roc with a 1.5-litre 150hp petrol, a 2.0-litre 190hp petrol, or a 2.0-litre 150hp diesel, and the Tiguan Allspace with 2.0-litre diesels producing either 150hp or 190hp.

Four-wheel drive is available as an option with the 150hp Tiguan Allspace, and is standard with the 190hp Tiguan Allspace and the 190hp petrol and the diesel T-Roc.

All models come with a choice of six-speed manual and seven-speed automatic gearboxes, except for the 190hp models which are auto only, and the diesel T-Roc which is manual only.

Prices start from £26,450 for the T-Roc, and £35,755 for the Tiguan Allspace.

Order books are open now, with deliveries likely to begin in May for the Tiguan Allspace and June for the T-Roc.
