VW offers glimpse of new T-Cross

Date: 04 July 2018   |   Author: Sean Keywood

Volkswagen has released a teaser image of its upcoming T-Cross SUV.

The T-Cross will become the smallest SUV in the VW range, sitting beneath the T-Roc, Tiguan, Tiguan Allspace and Touareg.

Along with the image of the car, VW has released some initial technical details.

Based on the VW Group MQB platform, it will be 4,107mm long, and despite being an SUV will only be available with front-wheel drive.

The car's interior is set to feature a back seat that can be adjusted forwards and backwards, allowing rear passenger knee room to be traded for extra boot space.

As well as practicality, VW also says the T-Cross will come with a high level of safety, thanks to good crash protection and a number of driver assistance systems.

The latter are set to include the Front Assist ambient traffic monitoring system, and the Lane Assist lane departure warning system.

For all other information about the new T-Cross, we will have to wait until the autumn, when its world premiere is set to take place.
