Brake seminar to advise on work-related road safety programmes

Date: 15 April 2019   |   Author: Sean Keywood

A seminar on how employers can best introduce a comprehensive work-related road safety programme is being held by road safety charity Brake.

Speakers at the event, to be held in Birmingham on 4 June, will discuss why organisations need a safety programme and how to develop it.

They will also cover employer responsibilities, including driving licence and insurance checks, and how to use data to evaluate road risk and inform safety policy.

The seminar is being held as part of Brake's Global Fleet Champions campaign, and sponsored by Trakm8.

Places can be booked via the Global Fleet Champions website.

Brake senior fleet officer Sarah Plumb said: "It is essential that organisations have a strong safety culture, supported and promoted from the top down, with relevant policies and protocols in place.

"Delegates at this seminar will receive expert advice on how to develop a work-related road safety programme and I encourage all those with responsibility for at-work drivers to attend."
