Jaguar E-Pace gets RDE2 certification and new Chequered Flag spec

Date: 03 May 2019   |   Author: Sean Keywood

Jaguar's E-Pace SUV is now available with a diesel powertrain that meets the Real Driving Emissions 2 standard.

The certification means the 150hp front-wheel drive diesel model does not incur the 4% BIK tax surcharge normally applied to diesel company cars.

The E-Pace follows other Jaguar Land Rover models in achieving this, including versions of the Jaguar XE and XF and the Range Rover Evoque.

Jaguar has also made the E-Pace available as a special edition Chequered Flag model, which features standard equipment including: heated front seats with 10-way adjustment, a panoramic roof, heated steering wheel, 12.3in TFT driver display, a powered tailgate, keyless entry, and Apple Carplay and Android Auto connectivity.

Cosmetic features include: R-Dynamic body-coloured bumpers, twin tailpipes, LED headlights with signature J-blade styling, a black exterior pack and 19in Satin Dark Grey wheels. Interior design features include Chequered Flag treadplates, black aluminium gearshift paddles and ebony grained-leather trim with red stitching.

Engine options with the Chequered Flag edition are 150hp and 180hp diesels, and 200hp and 249hp petrols, all with four-wheel drive.

Prices for the E-Pace Chequered Flag start at £40,050.
