Jaguar Land Rover appoints new fleet boss

Date: 28 August 2019   |   Author: Sean Keywood

Jaguar Land Rover has announced the appointment of Andrew Jago as general manager for fleet and business in the UK.

Jago is said to bring extensive experience of sales, marketing and customer service to the role, having recently returned from Germany where he was sales director of the Europe importer region.

Since joining JLR in 2012, Jago has also held management positions in global product marketing and North America operations.

He originally started his automotive career at a Ford retailer in Wiltshire, followed by 15 years in sales and marketing roles with Toyota in the UK and Japan.

Jago said: "As the UK's largest automotive manufacturer, Jaguar Land Rover is ideally positioned to service the needs of fleet and business customers in the premium market.

"We continue to invest in new models, technologies and services at an unprecedented level, with a fleet and business team working tirelessly to become trusted advisors to our customers.

"We must use our knowledge and expertise to build valued and lasting commercial relationships, while promoting the benefits of our products and services as a total package."

Jago added that he felt it would be important for JLR to assist fleets in understanding future compliance and legislation changes.

He said: "Compliance and legislation will continue to influence decision makers and we have an important role to play in ensuring that our customers understand the implications of any changes.

"JLR is well placed to adapt by leveraging our expertise in the areas of lightweight aluminium construction and propulsion technology."
