Nissan Leaf gets price cut and spec upgrade

Nissan has announced a price reduction for its Leaf electric car, alongside a minor spec update.
Leafs with a 40kWh battery - the smaller battery option offered in the range - have had their prices dropped by £1,650 across all equipment grades.
This means a 40kWh Leaf in entry-level Acenta grade now costs £26,345, while a range-topping Tekna costs £29,345 (both prices including the government's £3,500 plug-in car grant).
In addition to the price drop, all Leafs now come with two rear USB connections, fitted to the reverse panel of the centre console.
Nissan has also upgraded the Leaf's LED fog lights, which are standard with Tekna grade and optional with the mid-range N-Connecta grade. The fog lights now have a cornering function, which illuminates them during tight cornering to improve visibility.
