Date: 18 December 2019   |   Author: Sean Keywood

Renault has confirmed specs and prices for the new, second-generation version of its Captur small SUV.

The new Captur, which is available to order now, is available in three equipment grades: Play, Iconic, and S Edition.

Standard equipment with entry-level Play grade includes LED headlights, climate control, cruise control with speed limiter, a 7in touchscreen, DAB radio, Bluetooth, Apple Carplay and Android Auto connectivity, a 4.2in driver information display, hands free key card entry and automatic wipers.

Standard safety systems include lane departure warning, lane keep assist, autonomous emergency braking and traffic sign recognition.

Stepping up to Iconic spec adds features including sat-nav, rear parking sensors, 17in alloy wheels, LED front fog lights, two tone paint, tinted rear windows and tailgate glass, and roof bars.

Range-topping S Edition spec ups the touchscreen to 9.3in, and comes with other extra equipment including a 7in instrument cluster display, driving mode selection, automatic headlights, front parking sensors and a reversing camera.

Five engines are available - a 1.0-litre petrol with 100hp, 1.3-litre petrols with 130hp and 155hp, and 1.5-litre diesels with 95hp and 115hp.

Depending on engine choice, five- and six-speed manual and seven-speed automatic gearboxes are available.

A plug-in hybrid is also set to join the range next year.

Range prices start from £17,595 for a 100hp petrol Play, and rise to £24,795 for an S Edition 115hp diesel auto.

The first deliveries are expected in March.
