The start point for the best source of fleet information

G3 makes ULEV fleet commitment

Date: 25 February 2019   |   Author: Sean Keywood

Auction firm G3 Remarketing says it will be moving its entire fleet over to ultra-low emission vehicles (ULEVs) by the end of the year.

The company says this will build on a 75% ULEV fleet share it achieved last year, with significant additions to the team and vehicle lease renewals.

It says it expects to see a 38% reduction in CO2 emissions, and while G3 predicts a 5% decline in fuel economy, it has invested in specialist driver training to help employees use the new vehicles more efficiently.

It is also installing six on-site rapid charging points at its headquarters in Leeds, to be used both by its own new fleet and by plug-in cars offered by vendors in its auctions.

G3 joint managing director Matt Dale said: "We believe that 2019 will see a further shift in perspective in the used vehicle market in terms of acceptance of hybrid vehicles, especially in the fleet and leasing sector.

"By creating this initiative now, we believe we can not only encourage but also support our buyers and vendors to make the move over to hybrid vehicles sooner rather than later."
