New Ssangyong Korando unveiled

Date: 26 February 2019   |   Author: Sean Keywood

Ssangyong has revealed the first details of its new Korando SUV.

The fourth generation of the model, it will make its debut at the Geneva Motor Show next week.

Information about the model is currently limited, with full details expected in Geneva, but Ssangyong says there will be an initial choice of 1.5-litre petrol and 1.6-litre diesel engines, with an electric model to follow.

The new Korando is longer, wider and lower than the outgoing model, and Ssangyong claims it will have one of the longest wheelbases in its class for improved passenger comfort.

Styling features include new-look headlights and a new-look grille. The styling, says Ssangyong, is inspired by the SIV-2 concept it exhibited at Geneva in 2016.

On-board equipment will include a 9in touchscreen, a 10.25in LCD instrument cluster, and a four-way adjustable driver's seat with lumbar support.
