Nissan Qashqai gets new special edition and wider automatic gearbox availability

Date: 07 February 2019   |   Author: Sean Keywood

Nissan has announced a new special edition version of its Qashqai SUV, along with a new engine option with its seven-speed automatic gearbox.

The new N-Motion model is based on the regular N-Connecta equipment grade, but has distinguishing features including silver bumper plates, matching door mirror caps and roof rails, adaptive LED headlights and 19in alloy wheels.

The front seats feature burnt orange inserts and matching stitching, with the latter also replicated around the cabin.

There are also sports-style floor mats and a full-sized boot liner. Gun metallic paint, normally £575, is also included as a no-cost option.

With prices starting at £25,345, Nissan says the N-Motion, which is available with all powertrain options except those with four-wheel drive, offers extra equipment worth more than £1,200 compared with an N-Connecta for a £300 price increase.

The expanded automatic gearbox offering means that the seven-speed unit - previously only available with the range's 160hp petrol engine - is now also offered with the 115hp diesel, offering CO2 emissions from 106g/km.

The powertrain is available from Acenta Premium grade to Tekna grade, with prices starting at £25,945.
