Date: 07 February 2019   |   Author: Sean Keywood

Renault has launched a new equipment grade for its Captur small SUV.

The new S Edition spec sits above the Play and Iconic, and below the GT-Line in the range line-up.

Exterior features on the S Edition include gunmetal grey lower door accents and front and rear skidplates, and 17in alloy wheels.

The interior has Alcantara seats trimmed with red stitching, and a leather steering wheel, handbrake and gear lever.

The edge of the 7in colour touchscreen is also in red, and the interior also features black pillars, a dark roof lining and aluminium pedals.

Standard equipment includes sat-nav, DAB radio, rear parking sensors, and automatic headlights and windscreen wipers.

Engine options with the Captur S Edition are a 90hp diesel, a 130hp petrol and a 150hp petrol.

The diesel is available with a five-speed manual or a five-speed automatic gearbox, while the 130hp petrol comes with a six-speed manual and the 150hp petrol with a six-speed automatic.

Official combined fuel economy and CO2 emissions figures are: up to 53.2mpg and 110g/km for the diesel manual; up to 53.2mpg and 112g/km for the diesel automatic; up to 44.1mpg and 128g/km for the 130hp petrol; and up to 43.5mpg and 125g/km for the 150hp petrol.

Prices start at £19,625 for the 130hp petrol, rising to £19,785 for the diesel manual, £21,025 for the diesel automatic and £21,565 for the 150hp petrol.
