Mazda has launched a new range-topping equipment grade for its CX-5 SUV.

Standard kit in top-spec GT Sport Nav+ includes 19in alloy wheels, wood and chrome interior trim, a 7in colour touchscreen display, adaptive LED headlights, driver attention alert, rear autonomous emergency braking and a 360 degree view monitor.

Engine options are a 2.0-litre, 165hp petrol, with front-wheel drive, and a 2.2-litre, 184hp diesel, with four-wheel drive, while transmission options are a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic.

GT Sport Nav+ cars are priced at £31,095 for a petrol manual, £32,695 for a petrol automatic, £35,295 for a diesel manual, and £37,195 for a diesel automatic.

In addition to the new flagship grade, Mazda has also made Apple CarPlay and Android Auto standard across the CX-5 range.

It has also made tweaks to the model's suspension set-up, and updated its GVC Plus chassis management system.

Orders for the 2019 model year CX-5 are open now, with deliveries beginning in February.
