Honda gives first glimpse of new EV

Date: 23 January 2019   |   Author: Sean Keywood

Honda has released an early sketch of its new electric vehicle (EV) ahead of the debut of a prototype version at the Geneva Motor Show in March.

The new EV is set to go on sale later this year. It is based on the Urban EV Concept that was initially shown at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2017, with Honda's production plans arising as a result of the positive reception it received.

It will be the first mass-produced battery EV sold by Honda in Europe.

The firm says that the vehicle's debut will be a step towards its commitment to feature electrified technology in two-thirds of the cars it sells in Europe by 2025.

Technical details such as battery size and driving range are yet to be revealed.
