Tech firm announces two fleet industry acquisitions

Date: 21 January 2019   |   Author: Sean Keywood

Fleet management software provider Trace Systems and logistics firm Labyrinth Logistics Consulting have been acquired by technology company Big Change.

The deal for Trace, which works with fleet operators across the UK, will see its management capabilities integrated into Big Change's Job Watch programme, with Trace founder Bill Davies working as an advisor.

The deal for Labyrinth will see its directors Ruth Waring and Jo Godsmark joining Big Change's leadership team and spearheading a new consultancy arm.

Big Change CEO Martin Port (pictured) said: "We are delighted to complete the acquisitions of Labyrinth and Trace. These businesses are the first that Big Change has acquired since it was launched in 2013 and provide us with more fantastic people, world-class technology, amazing new customers and a multimillion revenue boost.

"They represent a significant milestone for our business and a major boost to our scale-up plans."

Davies said: "Having built a business over 30 years we see the sale of Trace Systems to Big Change as the next chapter in our development.

"It will allow us to transform our fleet, garage and workshop software to take full advantage of the latest cloud and mobile technology pioneered by Big Change.

"This will provide fantastic opportunities for our existing and future customers."

Waring said: "We are very excited to be part of Big Change. It is a strong, growing business that complements our offering very well indeed.

"As part of Big Change, we can develop a more comprehensive consultancy offering and take it to many more organisations around the world."
