Orders set to open for launch edition Volkswagen T-Cross

Date: 01 February 2019   |   Author: Sean Keywood

Volkswagen will open orders next week for the first 250 UK examples of its new T-Cross SUV.

The First Edition version of the new entry point to VW's SUV line-up has been announced ahead of orders for the rest of the range opening in March.

The First Edition comes with a 1.0-litre, 115hp petrol engine, paired with a six-speed manual gearbox.

Standard equipment includes a Beats sound system, sat-nav, LED headlights, autonomous emergency braking, blind spot sensors, adaptive cruise control and lane assist.

Sliding rear seats are also fitted, allowing an extra 70 litres of boot space to be traded for up to 140mm of extra rear legroom as needed.

All 250 First Edition cars will be painted in Pure White with silver roof rails and black styling features, and fitted with 18in alloy wheels.

The T-Cross First Edition is priced at £23,150.

VW dealers will begin taking orders on 5 February, with the first deliveries in April.
