New Audi A1 Citycarver revealed

Date: 29 July 2019   |   Author: Sean Keywood

Audi has unveiled the A1 Citycarver - an SUV-inspired crossover version of its supermini.

Compared with the regular A1, changes include a 4cm ride height increase, extended wheel arches and sills in a contrasting colour, stainless steel underbody protection, a larger octagonal grille with a matt black honeycomb insert and a new-look rear bumper.

Two petrol engine options are available - a 1.0-litre with 116hp and a 1.5-litre with 150hp.

Standard equipment includes an 8.8in touchscreen and 10.25in digital cockpit display (optionally upgradable to Audi's Virtual Cockpit set-up).

Other standard features include 17in alloy wheels, rear parking sensors, LED headlights, air conditioning and selectable drive modes.

Standard driver assistance systems include cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, lane departure warning and hill-hold assist.

UK orders will open in September. Prices are yet to be announced.
