Shell launches new fleet rewards programme

Date: 10 June 2019   |   Author: Sean Keywood

A new fleet rewards programme has been introduced by Shell.

Shell Go+, accessible via the Shell app, allows access to instant rewards on selected food and drink, and regular fuel savings.

The programme is based on filling station visits rather than accumulating points, and is available to all current Shell Drivers Club members as well as new customers.

Shell says it has decided to issue rewards for fuel and non-fuel purchases, as the latter accounts for one in three transactions at its filling stations.

Rewards include money off fuel every 10 visits to a Shell station and £3 off every 300 litres of Shell V-Power, while instant rewards include 10% off all hot drinks, Shell Helix oil and the Jamie Oliver Deli food range.

Shell also says 'surprise' free rewards will be issued on items ranging from confectionery to car care, which will be personalised based on driver preferences and service history.

Shell UK remarketing manager Michael Hominick said: "This is the first time we have developed a rewards programme for all types of fleets, irrespective of their vehicle: whether that be heavy goods vehicles, large goods vehicles or passenger vehicles.

"Shell Go+ is built to reward those who are out working hard on the roads every day.

"Initiatives such as this are important in ensuring that drivers feel refreshed and valued and will ultimately help to increase driver loyalty and retention for fleet businesses."
