Date: 20 June 2019   |   Author: Sean Keywood

Electric vehicle (EV) charging firm Pod Point is offering free use of its 2,000-strong public network for Clean Air Day (20 June).

The firm says it is making the the offer, which applies for 24 hours from midnight to midnight, to highlight the role EVs can play in improving air quality and helping to tackle climate change.

Pod Point app users will charge and pay as normal, but then have any payments made reimbursed via an in-app credit within two to three working days.

Pod Point CEO and founder Erik Fairbain said: "Initiatives like Clean Air Day are really important in raising awareness that dirty air affects every single one of us.

"We're pleased to support this campaign once again with our free charging offer and hope it will help build understanding of the causes of air pollution and how EVs can be a part of the solution."
