New range-topping equipment grade for Citroën Berlingo

Date: 03 June 2019   |   Author: Sean Keywood

Citroën is adding a new top-spec equipment grade to its Berlingo MPV range.

The new Flair XTR grade will be available with both the five-seat M and seven-seat XL model variants.

Standard kit with the new grade, in addition to those fitted to previously range-topping Flair cars, includes the Modutop roof - a panoramic glass roof that also incorporates storage space.

Other standard equipment includes: an opening rear tailgate window, keyless entry and start, a head-up display, automatic dual-zone climate control, power-folding door mirrors and individually flat-folding rear seats (the latter with M cars only).

Berlingo Flair XTRs also get a number of distinct exterior design features, including: Airbump panels, 17in alloy wheels, orange fog light surrounds, gloss black door mirrors and roof bars, front and rear scuff plates, and dark tinted rear side and tailgate windows.

Two engine options are available: 1.5-litre diesels with 100hp or 130hp.

The 100hp engine comes with a five-speed manual gearbox, while the 130hp engine comes with either a six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic.

Prices for M cars are: £23,630 with the 100hp engine; £24,750 for a 130hp manual; and £26,150 for a 130hp automatic. Respective XL prices are £25,330, £26,450 and £27,850.

Orders are open now, with production due to start in July.
