Hyundai Tucson N-Line revealed

Date: 21 March 2019   |   Author: Sean Keywood

Hyundai is making the sporty N-Line equipment grade available with its Tucson SUV.

It is the second model in the Hyundai range to be offered in N-Line spec, after the i30 lower-medium car.

Compared with the rest of the Tucson range, the N Line gets stiffer suspension and more direct steering, designed to offer a sportier drive.

Exterior styling features include new bumpers, a dark mesh-pattern grille, dark 19in alloy wheels, gloss black detailing and new-look headlights, while inside there are N-branded sports seats, red stitching on the seats and steering wheel, alloy pedals, and a leather, red-accented N gear lever.

Two engine options are on offer - a 1.6-litre, 136hp diesel and a 1.6-litre, 177hp petrol.

Both come with front-wheel drive and a choice of six-speed manual or seven-speed automatic transmission, while the diesel also comes with a 48V mild-hybrid system.

Combined fuel economy figures are 51.4-47.1mpg for the diesel manual, 52.3-47.1mpg for the diesel auto, 35.3-34.4mpg for the petrol manual, and 37.2-34.4mpg for the petrol auto.

CO2 emissions figures are 110-117g/km for the diesel manual, 114-118g/km for the diesel auto, 169-175g/km for the petrol manual, and 156-163g/km for the petrol auto.

Full UK specs and prices are yet to be announced.
