Date: 28 March 2019   |   Author: Sean Keywood

Skoda has added a 2.0-litre, 190hp petrol engine to its Karoq and Kodiaq SUV ranges.

With the Karoq the new engine is only available with the Sportline equipment grade, while it can be specced in the Kodiaq with SE L, Scout, Sportline, Edition and L&K grades.

In both models it comes with a seven-speed automatic gearbox and four-wheel drive as standard.

In the Karoq, it achieves official combined fuel economy of between 33.2mpg and 32.1mpg, and CO2 emissions of 158g/km.

Figures for the Kodiaq vary according to the equipment grade chosen, but the most efficient come with the SE L - between 31.7mpg and 30.1mpg and 162g/km.

Orders for cars with the new engine are open now, with the Karoq Sportline priced at £31,820, and the Kodiaq starting at £34,120 for an SE L and rising to £38,770 for an L&K.
