New Mercedes-Benz CLA Shooting Brake revealed

Mercedes-Benz has unveiled the Shooting Brake variant of its new CLA.
The second generation of the model, it is set to go on sale in September, four months after the CLA Coupe.
Compared with its predecessor, the new Shooting Brake is 48mm longer and 53mm wider, but 2mm lower.
Mercedes says the boot opening width has been increased from 635mm to 871mm, while boot capacity will be boosted by 10 litres to 505 litres.
Inside, the Shooting Brake will be the latest new Mercedes to get the firm's MBUX infotainment system, featuring 'Hey Mercedes' voice recognition.
Available driver assistance systems will draw on camera and radar technology that allows the car to 'see' up to 500m ahead and drive partially autonomously in certain situations.
For example, Active Distance Assist Distronic will adapt the car's speed before corners, junctions and roundabouts, while Active Steer Assist with Active Lane Change Assist will also be available, along with Active Park Assist with Parktronic.
Just one engine has been announced at present, a 2.0-litre petrol with 225hp, with provisional combined fuel economy of between 43.5mpg and 45.6mpg, and provisional CO2 emissions of between 149g/km and 143g/km.
Mercedes says a range of petrol and diesel motors will be available when the car goes on sale, with manual or automatic transmission, and front-wheel or four-wheel drive.
Full UK specs are yet to be confirmed.
