Orders open for full VW T-Cross range

Date: 05 March 2019   |   Author: Sean Keywood

Volkswagen's new small SUV, the T-Cross, is now fully available to order in the UK.

An initial limited run First Edition model went on sale last month, but now VW has put the full range on sale.

Four equipment grades are on offer - S, SE, SEL and R-Line - along with a choice of two 1.0-litre petrol engines, one producing 95hp and the other 115hp.

The 95hp engine comes with a five-speed manual gearbox, while the 115hp unit comes with either a six-speed manual or seven-speed DSG automatic.

CO2 emissions are either 111g/km or 112g/km depending on spec, except for the manual R-Line, which has a figure of 115g/km.

Standard equipment across the T-Cross range, including the entry-level S grade, includes electrically adjustable and heated door mirrors, an 8in touchscreen infotainment system, LED tail lights, automatic headlights, autonomous emergency braking, lane assist with blind spot monitoring and lane keeping, and an emergency call system.

Also standard is a sliding rear bench seat, allowing users to trade rear legroom for increased boot space.

SE grade adds equipment including 17in alloy wheels (up from 16in with the S), black roof rails, front fog lights with cornering function, a leather multifunction steering wheel, a variable boot floor, adaptive cruise control, app connect and a driver alert system.

SEL adds kit including tinted windows, LED headlights, silver roof rails, front sport seats, carpet mats, ambient lighting, climate control, sat-nav, a driver tiredness detection system, and front and rear parking sensors.

Range-topping R-Line cars also gain 18in alloys, R-Line exterior and interior styling features, and VW's Active Info Display.

Prices for the range start at £16,995 for a 95hp S and rise to £25,050 for a 115hp auto R-Line.

The first deliveries are expected in April.
