Hyundai Tucson N Line specs and prices confirmed

Date: 14 May 2019   |   Author: Sean Keywood

Hyundai has revealed full details of the new N Line variant of its Tucson SUV.

The N Line equipment grade features styling elements carried over from Hyundai's N performance line, including bespoke front and rear bumpers and a dark mesh pattern grille with a dark chrome surround.

There's also a gloss black finish for the door mirror housings, rear spoiler and 19in alloy wheels, along with black bezel headlights and darkened window frames.

Inside there are N-branded leather-suede sports seats with red accent stitching, an N-branded leather steering wheel, alloy pedals and a leather-wrapped N gear lever.

There are also mechanical changes from the regular Tucson, including revised power steering software designed to make controlling the car feel more direct, and more rigid suspension settings.

Other standard equipment with the Tucson N Line includes: heated and height adjustable front seats, with electrically-adjustable drivers seat lumbar support; keyless entry with a start/stop button; climate control; an 8in touchscreen with sat-nav; Apple Carplay and Android Auto connectivity; and front and rear parking sensors.

Standard safety systems include lane keep assist, autonomous emergency braking, trailer stability assist, speed limit information and tyre pressure monitoring.

Two engine options are available: a 177hp 1.6-litre petrol, or a 136hp 1.6-litre diesel with a 48V mild hybrid system - a choice that is new to the range.

Both are available with either six-speed manual or seven-speed automatic transmission.

CO2 emissions figures are: 168g/km for the petrol manual; 151g/km for the petrol automatic; 113g/km for the diesel manual; and 115g/km for the diesel automatic. Combined fuel economy figures are 37.7mpg, 40.4mpg, 65.7mpg and 64.2mpg respectively.

Prices for the Tucson N Line, which will go on sale in the UK on 30 May, are: £25,995 for the petrol manual; £27,285 for the petrol automatic; £27,760 for the diesel manual; and £29,050 for the diesel automatic.
