Nissan names new fleet director

Date: 18 November 2019   |   Author: Sean Keywood

Nissan Motor GB has announced the appointment of Peter McDonald as its new fleet director.

Before joining Nissan, McDonald spent nearly 20 years with Volkswagen Group, which included leading the Seat UK fleet team for the last six years.

He joins a team at Nissan that includes national corporate fleet manager Adam Connelly, national leasing manager Mark Johnson, national dealer fleet manager Marco Capozzoli, national rental and broker manager Kevin Childs and fleet operations manager Adam Hurren.

McDonald said: "Corporate fleets are currently managing the complexity that comes from the inevitable transition to electric vehicles (EVs) and are looking for trusted and experienced partners that can provide support and advice.

"I'm really excited to be joining the brand that has the most experience in selling EVs to fleets in the UK, and looking forward to working with the Nissan leadership team, dealer network and supplier base to simplify this complexity and accelerate this change for customers."
