Date: 20 November 2019   |   Author: Sean Keywood

Skoda has announced UK specs and prices for the new electric version of its Citigo city car.

Badged the Citigo E iV, it is powered by an 83hp electric motor, and has a 36.8kWh battery pack offering a driving range of up to 170 miles on the WLTP test cycle.

Two equipment grades are on offer - SE and SE L.

The E iV's battery can be charged to 80% in four hours and 15 minutes using a 7.2kW AC wall box, or with the SE L grade can be charged to 80% in an hour with a 40kW DC fast charger.

Standard equipment with SE grade includes climate control, a leather steering wheel and handbrake, DAB radio and remote central locking.

Stepping up to SE L grade then adds further equipment including 16in alloy wheels, ambient lighting, heated front seats, rear parking sensors, and body coloured door mirrors and handles.

Both grades also come with Skoda Connect app compatibility, allowing drivers to check and control some features of the car remotely, including battery charge status.

Prices are £20,455 for the SE grade, and £22,825 for SE L, excluding the government's £3,500 plug-in car grant.

Orders will open on 10 December, with the first deliveries expected early next year.
