Activa Contracts has secured a fully outsourced fleet contract with Premier League football club Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The deal comprises company cars, pool vehicles and commercial vehicles used by a wide cross section of club employees, including backroom staff and academy players, and supplied by Arnold Clark.
Activa Contracts area manager Steve Callaghan said: "Wolves wanted to make savings on its vehicle provision and saw the opportunity to capitalise on our knowledge and provide more suitable vehicles than those currently operated.
"The club liked our consultancy approach and we provided detailed quotes with a focus on cars with low CO2 emissions and strong residual values, while also taking account of operational requirements.
"The result is that Activa Contracts won the deal on a wholly outsourced basis, effectively becoming Wolverhampton Wanderers' fleet manager and we already have orders for 23 vehicles.
"Previously, the club had two leasing suppliers but those relationships had broken down. Activa Contracts has gone in, put an arm around the club, provided cost-effective solutions, particularly with a focus on carbon footprint reduction and at-work road risk management, and taken away the administration. It's a win-win for both organisations."
Wolves head of commercial sales Steve Morton said: "We are delighted to be working with Activa Contracts and have found the company's service excellent and expertise invaluable.
