Road safety charity Brake is holding a free webinar on how fleets can work to eliminate driver distractions.
The webinar, held as part of Brake's Global Fleet Champions campaign, will discuss subjects including why distraction is an important road safety issue, why drivers get distracted, and the addictiveness and distractions of different technologies.
It will also discuss policies to help reduce driver distraction, measures to help employers identify drivers who may be at risk of being distracted, and measures to raise awareness of distraction through education and communication programmes.
Places for the webinar, which is sponsored by Lytx and takes place on 10 October, can be booked through the Global Fleet Champions website.
Brake senior fleet officer Sarah Plumb said: "Driving requires the full attention of the driver. Hazards can arise at any time and a moment's distraction can have fatal consequences.
"Preventing driver distraction is one of the most important things that fleet managers can do to make their workforce safer."
