New Skoda Scala Monte Carlo revealed

Date: 02 September 2019   |   Author: Sean Keywood

Skoda is adding a new equipment grade to its Scala lower-medium car range.

The Monte Carlo grade is said to pay homage to the brand's successful history in rallying, and will be available with all the engines from the existing Scala range.

It has sporty exterior styling features such as a gloss black grille and front trim details, black Skoda lettering on the boot lid, black 17in alloy wheels (18in alloys are optional), and black wing mirror caps and side sills.

Other standard equipment includes tinted side windows, a panoramic roof and an extended rear window with a black roof spoiler, as well as a black rear diffuser and black model designations.

Inside there are height-adjustable sports seats, a perforated leather sports steering wheel, LED ambient lighting, chrome-look air vents and LED reading lights.

There are also aluminium-look pedals, special floor mats and a black roof lining.

The Scala Monte Carlo will make its debut at the Frankfurt motor show later this month, with sales then beginning in the fourth quarter of the year.

Prices are yet to be announced.
